2020 budget: What Shehu Sani said about Buhari’s N10.7trillion appropriation bill

A former legislator representing the Central Kaduna Senate District, Senator Shehu Sani, suggested that the 2020 appropriation bill presented at a joint session of the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday will have no positive effect on Nigerians. .

The President presented N10.7 billion for the budget estimates for the year 2020. Buhari also said that N125 billion was allocated to the National Assembly, while N110 billion was allocated to the Judiciary.

In his comment, Senate President Ahmed Lawan commissioned all government ministries, departments and agencies to defend their proposals before the end of October.

He also said that legislators must ensure that the budget is approved before the end of the year. But reacting in a tweet on Wednesday, Sani said: “The budget will take us out of Sodom and take us safely to Gomorrah.”

Other groups and individuals, such as the United Political Parties Coalition, the Popular Democratic Party, the PDP and the minority leader of the Senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe, had despised the budget.
