Abia Assembly blows hot, moves to sanction erring agencies, ministries, boards

Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, the President of the Chamber of the Assembly of the State of Abia, has declared that the current seventh House will not hesitate to weigh his hammer against the agencies, boards, and people who disobey the resolutions of the House.

Latest Nageria newspaper report that The President, who announced this during the plenary session of the Assembly and monitored by Latest Nageria newspaper warned that the current leadership would deal decisively with any official of the Abia Government who participates in any suspicious activity, as well as not respecting the resolutions and House calls.

Latest Nageria newspaper report that Orji, who was re-elected on the platform of the Popular Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general elections of 2019, currently represents the constituency of the central state of Umuahia, warned: “This House will not hesitate to eliminate that obstruction, regardless of who is involved.

“I do not see the reason why the wages of the workers of the state of Abia will be prepared in another country and brought here for payment.Any resolution of this House must be respected.”
