Chelsea star Kenneth Omeruo, has sponsored Gernot Rohr’s Super Eagles to win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Egypt.
Omeruo, who played for CD Leganés on credit from Chelsea last season, trusts Nigeria have a decent group that can play in the AFCON last and conceivably wins the challenge.
The 25-year-old safeguard scored the main objective in Nigeria’s 1-0 triumph over Guinea on Wednesday to guarantee Rohr’s men meet all requirements for the round of 16.
Tending to columnists after an instructional meeting in Alexandra on Thursday, Omeruo was cited by the Guardian as saying: “I am so eager to score my first objective for the Super Eagles, mainly when it came at once we required it to move into the round of 16.
“Despite everything we have a great deal to do, however, I accept we have a decent group that can play in the last and wins the challenge.
“To be genuine, I think it is too soon for me to discuss winning the title. It is as yet a long adventure, and we will accept each match as it comes.
