APC, PDP fight over tribunals’ judgement in Akwa Ibom



The of All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday condemned the rulings issued so far by the Courts of Election of the National and State Assembly of Akwa Ibom in which the two panels confirmed the victories of the People Party Democratic (PDP).

The panels also affirmed the victories of some members of the House of Representatives, including Chief Nse Ekpenyong, who defeated Mr. Victor Antai of the APC by the seat of the federal constituency of Oron; Mr. Unyime Idem (Ukanafun \ Oruk Anam); Mr. Pat Ifon (Eket \ Esit Eket \ Ibeno \ Onna) and Mr. Aniekan Umanah (Abak \ Etim Ekpo \ Ika).

But the APC rejected all the verdicts, arguing that the panels compromised and ignored some basic facts that would have given credibility to the rulings and asked President Muhammadu Buhari, the national leadership of the APC and other interested parties to come to the aid of the APC in Your search for justice.

Addressing reporters yesterday in Uyo, the state capital, the leader of the APC youth wing, Comrade Stephen Ntukekpo, announced the rejection of the result of his requests.

According to the PDP, the judges who issued the ruling carefully followed the due process of law to reach the verdicts, noting that all requests were full of irregularities that made them incompetent to be before the eyes of the law.

“When the courts began, they presented processes that were manifestly and incurably flawed. Now that the natural consequences of their actions have manifested, instead of taking a sincere introspection, they have decided to apply their investment in shares, spending money, ”he said.
