The Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Muhammadu Dingyadi, says that the Congress of All Progressives (APC) will soon control the state of Sokoto.
The Nigeria newspaper report that Dingyadi spoke Thursday in Sokoto when he met with the state, zonal and local bosses of the party.
He expressed optimism that the party will soon take over the affairs of the state of Sokoto and reverse “the current unpleasant trend of underdevelopment and neglect.”
According to him, President Muhammadu Buhari would fulfill his key campaign promises to address the myriad of security challenges, improve the economy, and sustain the ongoing fight against corruption.
However, the minister requested the support of all well-intentioned Nigerians for the government to succeed.
He stressed that all Nigerians were equal stakeholders in the Nigeria project and should work collectively to take the nation to the next level.
He praised President Buhari, APC leaders in the state, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, as well as the party, for placing tremendous confidence in him and promised to live above the board in the performance of his responsibilities.
In previous statements, Alhaji Sadiq Achida, APC state president, said the visit was to congratulate Dingyadi on his well-deserved appointment.
