Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Popular Democratic Party, PDP in the last elections, has reacted to the death of PDP Stewart, Ms. Toyin Ajinde. Ajinde, a PDP chief in Ondo state, was involved in a car accident a few weeks ago.
She, however, left the ghost at the Trauma Center in Ondo on Friday, after being in a coma since the accident, which occurred on September 6.
Recall that Latest Nigeria newspaper had reported that the deceased along with the senator representing Ondo South in the National Assembly, Nicholas Tofowomo, was involved in a horrible accident, which occurred on the Igara-Oke axis of the Ilesa-Owo road while on their way to Akure from an official commitment in Ibadan.
In response to the sad news in a tweet Sunday night, Atiku said that Toyin Ajinde’s commitment to a better Nigeria has no parallel.
“As a leading PDP woman in Ondo, she worked tirelessly to achieve this. I knew it because she was my strong advocate for a long time. I am saddened by his loss. May his family be comforted, and his soul may rest in peace.”
