Buhari speaks on killing of Afenifere leader’s daughter, Funke by suspected herdsmen

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the murder of the daughter of the Afenifere leader, Mrs. Funke Olakunrin.

GISTOK reported that Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, daughter of Ruben Fasoranti, was killed by armed men suspected of being Fulani pastors on Thursday.

The report quoted an eyewitness who said the 58-year-old woman died of gunshot wounds. According to the eyewitness, Olakunrin was shot by suspected Fulani herders at the Ore crossing in Ondo state on Friday.

But Ondo state police, on Friday night, said the thugs attacked the Benin-Sagamu Highway. Ondo State police spokeswoman Femi Joseph told GISTOK that other passengers were abducted during the incident, which occurred on Friday.

Ms. Funke Olakunrin, was killed along with Ondo-Ore Camino by those described as thieves armed by the Ondo Police Command. “He begs God to give Pa Fasoranti strength to withstand the loss,” he added.
