A leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to the recent statement made by a former UK Prime Minister, David Cameron, against the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Latest Nigeria newspaper report that Cameron alleged that Jonathan prevented Britain from rescuing some of the Chibok schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents in 2014.

The British prime minister revealed that Jonathan’s then government did not provide enough support to Britain during the kidnapping of 274 schoolgirls from Chibok, Borno state, in 2014.

However, Fani-Kayode said that in making such an accusation against Jonathan, Cameron had shown his alleged complicity in the kidnapping of the girls. He said the former prime minister must now confess his role in the kidnapping.

Latest Nigeria newspaper report that Fani-Kayode tweeted: “By telling the cheap cover-up lie that @GEJonathan rejected the help the United Kingdom offered to rescue the ChibokGirls, @David_Cameron has exposed his complicity in the deadly circus that was the kidnapping of Chibok.

“David must now find the courage to confess his role in the kidnapping plan.”
