EFCC nabs 18 suspected ‘Yahoo boys’ in Lagos [PHOTO]

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, arrested 18 suspected internet scammers in Lagos.

Latest Nigeria newspaper report that The agency announced on Tuesday.

He listed the suspects as: Abass Mukhtar, Enitan Adekunle, Olakunle Araoyinbo, Korede Adetule, Christmas Gabriel, Christmas Yole, Christmas Emmanuel and Harrison Obayogbono.

Others are Victor Kenneth, Adewale Musibau, Oluwajuwon Shofuyi, Idris Abdulazeez, Oyeku Adeoye, Omilana Adeleke, Okeke Chucks, Peters Olamide, Abayomi Jones and Usman Olalekan.

He added: “The suspects were arrested during a covert operation in three different locations in the Alagbado area following intelligence reports received by the Commission from members of the public concerned about their alleged involvement in criminal activities.

“During the raid, approximately five of the suspects attempted to escape the arrest by taking refuge inside the roof of their apartments. However, they were immediately arrested by EFCC agents.

“Items recovered from suspects at the point of arrest include amulets, phones, laptops, and five cars: Hyundai Sonata, 2004 Toyota Camry model, 2007 Toyota Camry model, 1999 Toyota Camry model, and Honda Pilot.”

The statement added that the suspects would soon be indicted in court.
