The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Scholarships are one of the most prestigious and generous scholarships offered to visual artists beginning their careers. It is also one of the most famous, having been awarded many brilliant artists for over half a century.
In fact, the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Scholarships are unique in their international nature, rewarding students and artists from around the world. The fellow will study at Laval University, Canada.
Université Laval is the oldest French-speaking university in North America, located in Quebec City, Canada. He is recognized worldwide for his quality scientific research and education. Laval University is ranked 361 among the best universities in the world.
To date, the Foundation has supported nearly 1,900 students and artists from 40 countries. The recipients are now nationally and internationally renowned artists, art teachers and recognized mentors.
BENEFITS OF THE ELIZABETH GREENSHIELDS SCHOLARSHIPS
Recipients receive an initial grant of $ 15,000 CAD. The second and third scholarships are worth CAD 18,000 each. The prizes are delivered directly to the recipients. There are no other organizations acting as intermediaries.
Eligible, only young artists studying or in the early stages of their career, working in areas of:
- The arts of printing (stamping, gravure, screen printing and lithography) of the pictorial style.
Applicant must be 18 years of age and not older than 41 at the time of application for an initial award.
The Foundation does not impose restrictions or conditions on the nationality, nationality or place of residence of the applicants. Citizens of all countries are eligible.
The applicant must be in the early stages of their career, either a student or a budding artist.
The following areas are not eligible for foundation grants: graphic design; Photography; Video animation film; digital art; crafts; Decorative Arts; any work that uses a photograph or digital image as its main subject or that is created using computer software or graphics; and any business or activity that is essentially in any of the previous categories.

The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation does not accept any other forms. Applications must be completed and submitted online.
