Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that his team will not have two key players, Diogo Dalot and Paul Pogba, when they face Watford in Sunday’s Premier League game on Vicarage Road.
According to Solskjaer, Dalot, who has not yet achieved a good physical condition for the match, will appear for Man United’s U19 friendly against AC Milan at Leigh Sports Village on Friday night, while Pogba is not ready to play against Watford.
Solskjaer’s men head to the game after beating Colchester 3-0 in the Carabao Cup match on Wednesday. “I feel that the team is ready for [Watford],” Solskjaer told MUTV on Friday.
“We are physically prepared for it and, mentally, we are in a good moment, since we are getting some decent results.” “The fitness of many players is coming back and we are winning more and more competition for places.”
“It is important and why we are rotating. We are retraining the players and now it is more or less a complete training. That is good to see. Who is compatible and who is not a different scenario. Solskjaer added: “Diogo is playing tonight and gets more game time, to be more and more ready.”
“Paul [Pogba] is training. He came back with the team, so we’ll see how long it takes him to feel ready to be part of a game. ” “It’s a similar team to the one we’ve had in recent weeks.”
The start time of the game is at 3 pm.
