Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that he likes the use of video assistant referee, VAR because he provides justice.
The former head of Barcelona and Bayern Munich said he has always supported the VAR system despite complaining about his inconsistency last weekend after Man City’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
“I like VAR because it provides justice,” Guardiola said, according to Goal, before the clash of the Man City Premier League with Bournemouth on Sunday.
“This is the first season. It helps to be fairer with the referees. I think in the end it will be correct. “I had the same opinion from the beginning. I support technology. But during the process, you need time to adapt.
“It is emotional when he scores a goal that way. His reaction [of Jesus] was reasonable. He was not upset. The response of the Tottenham players showed that they did not know why he was not allowed. They accepted that it was a goal. “The reaction of our players was normal. We have to move on. It’s done. We have to move forward. “
