Latest Nigeria newspaper report that security officers were on the ground to prevent thugs from catching fire to loot stores.

The sources attributed the blame to the increase in energy that occurred in one of the stores on the market when power was restored on Saturday night.

Also, in an amateur video of the fire posted on Facebook, you could see some Nigerians shouting “Oh, Santana’s market is on fire now, nobody can help. The firemen are not here. See the assets of people on fire. Oh my God!”

However, firefighters from the Edo state government did not show up during hell. A middle-aged man, simply identified as Mila, said, made efforts to communicate with firefighters via a mobile line to help put out the fire, which began around 10 pmel Saturday night, but there was no response .

Some store owners, who stormed the market on Sunday morning after a distressed call, cried uncontrollably at the loss. It should be remembered that a midnight fire in August 2019 devastated the Uwelu mobile parts market in Benin.

More than two months after the sad incident, the Edo state government has not yet fulfilled its promise to help merchants, who suffered losses in hell.
