Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the banned indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB has raised the alarm for the alleged presence of “Fulani assassins” in his residence.
Kanu on Saturday night threatened to expose who sent the assassins who are said to be in a white Toyota Hilux in front of his house in Isiama-Afarakwu. Speaking on his Twitter page, the IPOB leader warned the killers to retrace their steps or face their anger.
Kanu on his Twitter page wrote: “Fulani’s killers in a white Toyota Hilux loitering in front of my house in Isiama-Afaraukwu tonight better retrace their steps. Who sent them will be exposed and will be responsible.
“The Efulefus who invited you on this dark day are in great shock.”
This occurs after the indigenous peoples of Biafra, IPOB, alleged on Saturday that the federal government in collaboration with the governor of the state of Abia, Okezie Ikpeazu, planned to kill members of the family of Nnamdi Kanu who live in their complex in Isiama, Afaraukwu in Umuahia
A press release from Emma Powerful, Secretary of Media and Publicity of IPOB, said that some armed security personnel were stationed in front of the complex.
The statement says in part: “Another round of genocide looms again in front of the complex of our leader in Isiama Afara ukwu Ibeku Umuahia, Abia state by the terrorist group Fulani.
“The IPOB intelligence unit is collecting information on how Okezie Ikpeazu and his colleagues stationed Fulani terrorists in front of the complex of our leader in Isiama Afaraukwu, the ancestral home of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu tonight.”
