IG sends new commissioner of police to Enugu



The Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, ordered the immediate dispatch of CP Ahmad Abdulrahman to the Enugu State Command as Police Commissioner.

The Nigeria newspaper report that He assumes the post of CP Suleiman Balarabe, who has been reassigned to the Office of Force Intelligence, FCID, Abuja, as the CP in charge of Intelligence.

Frank Mba, a spokesman for the Force, in a statement on Tuesday, said CP Ahmad Abdulrahman has a double master’s degree: one in Criminal Justice and one in Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies, both from Kaduna State University.

Graduated in Political Science and Administration from Sokoto University, Ahmad also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Corruption Studies from the University of Hong Kong.

Until its recent publication, Ahmad was the Police Commissioner in charge of Intelligence at the FCID, Abuja. “He has held many command posts throughout the Federation, namely. Kaduna, Bayelsa, and Ekiti Commands.

“Its publication as CP Enugu State is based on its action-oriented approach to work, its outstanding leadership history, and interpersonal relationships,” the statement added.
