I’m hale and hearty – Governor Ikpeazu dispels incapacitation rumour



The governor of Abia, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has condemned the widespread rumors of his alleged illness.

This was contained in a brief statement issued to journalists and made available to GISTOK by its press officer, Onyebuchi Ememanka, on Saturday morning, in Umuahia, the state capital.

On Saturday rumors abounded that Governor Ikpeazu is ill and in bed, which supposedly prevented him from fulfilling his constitutional duties.

The supposed disease has generated many reactions from the residents of Abia.

The Governor had yesterday a tight schedule attending a long list of official visitors who arrived at the Government House of Umuahia.

The unfortunate news that you have been spreading only exist in your disconnected imaginations.

“The good people of the state of Abia are advised to completely ignore these agents of confusion and their evil machinations. His Governor is in perfect health and is ready to challenge anyone who spreads the word about a football game. “
