Kidnap gang leader killed in Port Harcourt

Police in the state of Rivers on Monday killed “a notorious gang leader,” Linus Lebari, 35, popularly known as Bobby / Devil, terrorizing the state’s Ogoni area.

According to him, when the thugs noticed irregular movements around their camp, they started shooting at random. Omoni said the police returned the fire and fatally wounded one of them, identified as Linus Lebari, the leader of the kidnapper gang.

“The gang is responsible for all attacks on the Ogoni axis of the East / West highway and whose gang has killed more than 30 people in the local government areas of Khana and Gokana after collecting the rescue,” he said in a statement.

According to Omoni, following the operation, two police officers suffered gunshot wounds and are currently responding to the treatment.

“A locally manufactured gun was recovered, and some cartridges were recovered, and efforts are being made to arrest other gang members who fled with gunshot wounds,” NAN said, citing it.
