Kogi: Buhari under attack over approval of N10bn for Yahaya Bello’s state

President Muhammadu Buhari has been attacked by the request of approval of N10 billion for the state of Kogi.

Latest Nigeria newspaper report that President Muhammadu Buhari requested permission from the Senate on Tuesday to approve more than N10bn for the state of Kogi.

In the letter, Buhari said the amount was spent on projects on behalf of the Federal Government, which sought reimbursement through promissory notes and bonds.

Latest Nigeria newspaper report that The letter also explained that another 23 states with authorized expenditures on behalf of the Federal Government had been previously reimbursed, noting that the State of Kogi would be refunded with the prompt approval of Parliament.

Reacting, Reno Omokri, former assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, questioned the request for approval of funds a few weeks for the election of the governor of the state of Kogi.

Latest Nigeria newspaper report that Omokri on his Twitter page wrote: “Why does General Buhari want to pay Kogi ₦ 10.9 billion weeks for the elections? Why is Kogi special? Is it because they have an APC governor?

“Why is Bayelsa PDP status not paying? First Tradermoni, now this? Is this democracy?
