The governor of the Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, reacted to the decision of the Court of Appeals that confirmed a previous decision of the Petition Court of Elections of the National Assembly and the State that dismissed Senator Dino Melaye.

Bello said the sentence claimed his previous position that the Popular Democratic Party of the opposition manipulated the elections.
Bello’s statement was titled “Verdict of the Court of Appeals of Kogi West: Witnessing that the judiciary is impartial” and was signed by its Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed.
The statement added: “To confirm the request of Senator Smart Adeyemi of the Congress of All Progressives and order that the Independent National Electoral Commission in the constituency, the court, headed by Judge AO Chijioke and the Court of Appeal, have organized a new The election showed the world that the mandate of the people was stolen in the last senatorial election of Kogi West.
The courts did not decide in a vacuum but acted based on the merits and demerits of the case before them.
