1.Ministerial appointment: Eze names ‘witchcraft, ‘satanic elements’ trying to hold Amaechi down

A head of Congress of All Progressives, APC, in Rivers State, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, revealed that some “witchcraft elements” and “satanic elements” are trying to stop the elevation of former Transport Minister Chibuike Amaechi.

Eze, a former spokesman for the late New Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP, also described Amaechi’s recent alarm of plots to tarnish his image as an affirmation of his earlier (Eze) revelation of plots being plotted against the former Minister.

Amaechi had in a recent statement issued by his media office; he sounded the alarm of an ongoing smear campaign against him.

2. Reps Crisis: Elumelu reacts to PDP suspension

The leader of the minority of the House of Representatives, Rep. Ndudi Elumelu (PDP-Delta) has expressed surprise at his suspension by the leadership of the Popular Democratic Party (PDP).

GISTOK reported that the National Labor Committee (NWC) of the Democratic People’s Party, PDP, suspended Elumelu and some of its key members in the House of Representatives on Friday.

3. BREAKING: APC approves indirect primaries to elect Kogi governorship candidate

The National Labor Committee (NWC) of the All All Progressives Congress (APC) approved Indirect Primaries to elect the party’s candidate for the upcoming election of Governor Kogi.

The approval was granted after a meeting of the NWC on Friday, which considered and deliberated on a formal request from the Kogi State executive and interested parties that preferred Indirect Primary.

5. Osun guber: What Fayemi said as Oyetola defeats Adeleke in Supreme Court

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State congratulated his Osun State counterpart, Gboyega Oyetola, on the Supreme Court ruling that confirmed his (Oyetola’s) victory as the governor of the validly elected state.

In response to Friday’s decision, Fayemi described it as an affirmation of the popular will, “as expressed through his votes in the 2018 governor’s election in the state.”

7. INEC Using Inconclusive Elections To Do Its Bidding – Judge

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC, for its acronym in English) has been accused of using inconclusive elections to fulfill their orders.

This was initiated by Kumai Akaas, a judge of the supreme court during the decision on the election of governor of Osun, on Friday.

He was one of the two judges who dissented with the ruling in favor of Gboyega Oyetola as governor of Osun. Akass said that declaring that Osun’s election as governor was inconclusive showed that “INEC had something up its sleeve.”

“The fact that the INEC pronounces the inconclusive election shows that it had something up its sleeve and was able to achieve it through repetition,” he said. “The INEC uses inconclusive elections to do what it wants to do”.

The Congress of All Progressives (APC) has hailed the ruling of the Supreme Court that affirms the election of Gboyega Oyetola as governor of the state of Osun.

10. Adekele vs Oyetola: PDP reacts to Supreme Court judgement

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state of Osun has said it has accepted the ruling of the Supreme Court that affirmed Gov. Gboyega Oyetola as the winner of the governor’s election of September 2018 in the state.

Mr. Soji Adagunodo, president of the state PDP, in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo, said that since the Supreme Court was the highest court on earth, there was nowhere where the party could appeal again.

The NAN reports that the Supreme Court in a split sentence of five to two on Friday confirmed the election of Oyetola.
