Oyo state government has presented a Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for the establishment of the corporation’s new retail outlet in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
The C of O was presented to NNPC by Governor Seyi Makinde at the Governor’s office, Ibadan. The team from Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation was at the office of the Oyo state Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde in respect of the proposed new NNPC retail outlet in Ibadan.
The team led by NNPC Retail Sales Representative, Toluwalase Adesanya received the Certificate of Occupancy.
Governor Seyi Makinde urged the team to speed up work on the new retail outlet and also extend same to other parts of the state.
The governor said the plan by the corporation is laudable as it is in line with the resolve of his administration to industrialize the state and generate employment for the people of the state.
Also speaking shortly after the presentation, the Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Mr Taiwo Adisa said the presentation of the C of O for the establishment of the new NNPC retail outlet was a promise fulfilled by the state government.
According to Mr Adisa, Governor Makinde’s administration would continue to provide necessary support and assistance to both public and private investors for the economic growth of the state.
The new NNPC retail outlet is expected to spring up in Ibadan soon as the government has provided a parcel of land to the corporation.
