Mustapha Dandaura: Rivers State gets new Commissioner of Police

Mr. Mustapha Dandaura has been appointed as the new Police Commissioner (CP) for the state of Rivers in the latest reorganization of the police high command.

The spokesman for the order, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, in a statement issued Wednesday in Port Harcourt, said Dandaura becomes the 40th chief of Police in the state.

The new police commissioner replaces CP Usman Bell, who was sent to the Department of Research and Statistics at the Force headquarters, Abuja. Dandaura

Bell, Dandaura, a native of Katsina, was the former commissioner of the Police, the Anambra Police Command, before his appointment.

The CP was commissioned on March 3, 1990, as Assistant to the Superintendent of Police and had served the Force in various functions. Dandaura had also attended several professional courses before his current position.
