President Muhammadu Buhari’s chief special assistant on social investment, Maryam Uwais, has revealed that the Nigerian government was working on how to “disconnect” more than 200,000 beneficiaries of the government’s social intervention program, N-Power.
Latest Nigeria newspaper report that Uwais disclosed while appearing on the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA.
She revealed that the government was in talks with the Ministry of Finance about the next plan for them to disconnect.
“We are trying to see how we can address some of these gaps through these N-power beneficiaries that are destined to be disconnected by the end of the year.
“We are looking for loans that are available to them, the ministry of finance has not yet been finalized,” he said.
