Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has provided up-to-date information on injury concerns on his team.

Rohr told the post-match press conference after the Super Eagles victory over Cameroon that his captain, John Obi Mikel, was gradually recovering before the quarter-final clash against South Africa.

He also said that the left-back, Collins is back for the game. “We hope that Shehu can return, he was already on the bench today, we lost two players in the last training session before the game against Burundi, Shehu and Kalu, so it was not easy.

“Obi Mikel is already trying to run, so we’ll see,” he said. “Four days is a short time. We already recovered Collins to give us a solution in the position of the left side. “Obi Mikel; We will do our best, I have a wonderful medical staff and I think we can do something. ”

Nigeria defeated Cameroon 3-2 in the round of 16, while South Africa surprised the host nation by booking their place in the quarterfinals.
