Six suspected fake members of the youth body have been arrested on the ongoing record for the exercise of the National Youth Services Corps (NYSC) in the Katsina state orientation camp.
The Nageria newspaper report that the NYSC state coordinator Alhaji Ahidjo Yahaya, who confirmed this in a statement to NAN in Katsina, said the suspects were caught with false call letters and fake certificates of degree.
According to him, the suspects were women, while the other four were men. He added that two of the suspects were captured through the intelligence report received from the office of the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General. Shuaibu Ibrahim.
“I received a security report from DG that two women carried fake certificates. “Based on that, we established a safety net to catch them, and they were arrested. “The two suspects had confessed the crime,” he said.
According to him, the other four suspects were detected during the camp registration exercise of body members deployed in the state under the 2019 Batch B Stream II.
Yahaya said all the suspects would be prosecuted in the field court from where they will be expelled and handed over to the police for prosecution.
“Before the opening of the orientation camps, the DG issued a series of warnings to members of the public not to go to the NYSC camp with false results.
“But these people ignored the warning and decided to come to the camp with false results. What a pity! “, He said.
