Ohanaeze reveals why vigilant in Igboland will not be allowed

The President General of the zenith Igbo socio-political association, Nnia Nwodo, has promised that Fulani vigilante would be opposed in the South East.

Nwodo was responding to call by Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, for the foundation of Fulani Youth Vigilante body in the South East.

MACBAN clarified that the foundation of the vigilante gathering was gone for guaranteeing sufficient security in the locale.

Notwithstanding, Nwodo demanded that the South East would oppose the proposition for the foundation of Fulani Youths Vigilante in the district.

Talking in Enugu State yesterday, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo President General blamed the herders for damaging Igbo ladies in their ranches, among different violations.

Nwodo clarified that conceding such solicitation would spell fate for Igboland.

He stated: “Ohanaeze passionately contradicts any endeavor by Miyetti Allah to set up any vigilante bunch in Igboland.

“These are individuals who have assaulted our ranches, assaulted our ladies, and butchered their spouses. As at today, they, in fact, appreciate invulnerability from capture and indictment.

“They openly show AK-47 rifles not allowed to be utilized by regular folks.

“Stretching out this measure to them will transform them into a multitude of occupation and welcome unavoidable encounters with our young people. We will oppose such a strategy with each might accessible to us.”
