PDP expels former governorship candidate, Ize-Iyamu

The People Democratic Party (PDP) in the state of Edo has expelled its former candidate for governor, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu. This was revealed in a statement by the Party’s Advertising Secretary, Chris Nehikhare.

Latest Nigeria newspaper report that Ize-Iyamu was expelled after his refusal to confirm or refute his alleged defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

You have been expelled from participating in any PDP related activity with immediate effect.

Nehikhare explained that the expulsion will remain until Ize-Iyamu “recognizes, accepts and addresses the issue of his transfer to APC.”

The statement says: “In recent days, the PDP of the state of Edo has been flooded with calls and inquiries about the stories that are in fashion both in the print media and on social networks in regards to one of our leaders, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
