Recruitment: Police shortlist candidates, reveal date for aptitude test



The Police Service Commission, PSC, has revealed that 80,724 people have been shortlisted from their selection exercise for applicants for Constable’s position in the Nigerian Police Force.

In a statement from its spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, PSC said the shortlisted ones would be submitted to an aptitude test on August 3, 2019, across the country.

The PSC stated that the Commission is sending SMS to the telephone lines of the shortlisted candidates to invite them to the aptitude test that is scheduled to begin at 8 am.

Candidates have also been advised to “verify the full list of the Commission’s website, or visit the headquarters of the State Command in their states where the complete list will be pasted.”

However, the Commission warned the candidates to avoid any form of negligence in the exam, since the culprits will be arrested and punished accordingly.

At the close of the Commission’s recruitment portal on January 11, 2019, a total of 315,032 applications were received, but 210,150 applicants were shortlisted for the selection exercise.
