The home of the house of Senator Elisha Abbo (PDP-Adamawa North) was in the early hours of Saturday invaded by armed men who numbered around 13.

GISTOK understands that the armed men killed Senator’s uncle, David Ella, and also kidnapped Abbo’s stepmother.

Speaking to reporters in Abuja, Senator Elisha Abbo said: “About 13 men armed with AK-47 rifles invaded my family’s house around 1 am Saturday and shot my uncle dead.

“They dragged my father and my brothers out of their rooms and went after my stepmother when they told them that my biological mother had died. “They took the poor woman and left her 11-day-old son behind.

“My stepmother is still with the kidnappers (until 5:30 pm on Saturday), the kidnappers have called me, using a MTN number from Cameroon, but they have not requested a rescue yet.” Senator Abbo also stated that security agents know the criminals’ hiding places.

“The federal government, the military and the police are not doing enough in the aspect of insecurity in this country. “The security agencies know the criminals’ hiding places, but they will not persecute them.
