There is a palpable tension in the Ara community, in the area of the local government of Egbedore of the state of Osun, about the selection of a new monarch in the city, as a ruling house asked Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on the subject.

Latest Nigeria News report that the petition that was signed by the head of Ajadi Ruling House, Prince Emmanuel Oladejo, on behalf of family members, was made available to journalists in Osogbo, the state capital, on Wednesday, urging traditional institutions on Yoruba land to wade to avoid imminent major crises in the sleepy community.

According to the petition, it was said that the process that led to the appearance of a new monarch in the city had denied the principle of equity and tradition of the old city.

They accused the new monarch of conspiring with the chief of the king-makers, and some other king-makers to illegally perform the Oba initiation ritual and installed an Olubayo, whom they described as an extraterrestrial.

“We, the members of Ajadi Ruling House, wish to intimate their Excellency with the disorder and undue processes that are currently being carried out in the process for the selection of the new Ara Alara from the ruling house of Ajadi, the ruling house judged by The decision in the judgment of January 23, 2019 will be the next ruling house to present candidates to fill the vacant stool of Alara de Ara.

“It is pertinent that the Governor knows that before 5:30 am on January 28, 2019, four days after the sentence of the Superior Court Ejigbo, sitting in Ile-Ife on January 23, 2019, Chief Bara de Ara , the Head of Ara The Kingmakers in collusion with some Kingmakers illegally performed the Oba initiation ritual and installed an Iwindapo Olubayo, an indigenous person from the state of Oyo as the new Ara Alara.

“At the time that Chief Bara installed Olubayo, the Superior Court ruling was not ready for collection and there was no process for filling empty feces.

“There are six ruling houses in the Alara de Ara Headquarters by the Alara de Ara Headquarters Declaration of 1979, Ajadi Ruling House, the fifth is to produce the new and upcoming Ara Alara.

“The head of our ruling house, Prince Emmanuel Oladejo had declared that he saw and supported three (3) forms of expression of interest obtained by Prince Gideon Olufemi Adegboye, Prince (Barr) Samson Oladunmoye Ilufoye and Prince Victor Oyekanmi Adegboye.

“That the alleged fourth form allegedly obtained by an Iwindapo Olubayo was never presented to the Head of the ruling house of Ajadi and much less approved. Said Iwindapo is not known by the head of the ruling Ajadi family.

“We are concerned about this development in our community, and obviously we want someone to continue where our late monarch stopped, but not a person whose rise to the throne is against the customs and tradition of our land, anything contrary to due process is a taboo. ” and a recipe for chaos, ”he said.
