Three suspects arrested as police rescue another child kidnapped in Kano

The Kano State Police Command Anti-Abduction Team, Operation Puff Adder, rescued another 11-year-old kidnapped in Kano, Muhammed Ya’u and sold in Onitsha, Anambra.

According to the police spokesman, Ya’u was kidnapped in 2014 in PRP Quarters in the Kano metropolis by one Paul Onwe and his wife Mercy Paul and sold the victim to an Ebere Ogbodo for the sum of N200,000.

“In the continuation of the Command’s effort to rescue the kidnapped children from Kano to other parts of the country, between 05/11/2014 and 11/08/2019, the Anti-Kidnapping Operation Team of Operation Puff Adder led to Perform another rescue operation.

“During the operation, an 11-year-old Muhammed Ya’u‘ m “kidnapped in 2014 in PRP Quarters in Kano was successfully rescued at Onitsha in Anambra state.

Latest Nigeria newspaper report that The victim was kidnapped by Paul Onwe and Mercy Paul’ and sold to Ebere Ogbodo ‘for the sum of two hundred thousand Naira (N200,000) and renamed Chinedu Ogbodo,” said Haruna.

He said the three suspects were currently under investigation while efforts to rescue more kidnapped children were intensified.
