Trailer loaded with cows crushes two to death in Kaduna

A trailer loaded with cows on Friday lost control and crashed at Lord Lugard’s roundabout in the Kaduna metropolis, killing two, while seven others were injured.

“Combined efforts by FRSC, the Nigerian Civil Security and Defense Corps and the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Authority were required to remove the bodies and deposit them at the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital,” he said.

For his part, Mr. Aliyu Mohammed, Commander of the Joint Civil Task Force, Anguwan Shanu, said the trailer was coming from the Kawo axle at high speed going to Ahmadu Bello when the incident occurred.

Mohammed said he and his men were on a routine night patrol when they saw the trailer trying to navigate the roundabout but lost control and crashed after leaving the roundabout.
