According to the DailyMail, Gianluigi Buffon rejected both Manchester United and Manchester City, before returning emotionally to Juventus this summer.
The 41-year-old goalkeeper was available for a move, after spending a year at Paris Saint-Germain. Initially it seemed that Buffon would retire from playing and would play a trainer role.
However, the winner of the Italian World Cup chose to return to Juventus, hoping to win a medal of winners of the Champions League. Buffon will be the second option behind Wojciech Szczesny during his second spell with the Italian team.
