Antoine Griezmann revealed that he cried with joy when he finished his move to Barcelona. The forward completed a move of 120 million euros to the Catalan giants, after they activated their release clause last week.

Griezmann, 28, has now admitted that he could not contain his emotions later. “I called my father and I started crying with happiness because I was there, everything was done.

“I was with my friends, my wife and my children and it was an incredible moment. “There was a lot of stress and pressure to finish everything, I just wanted to finish my vacation and start this new challenge.

“The dressing room has welcomed me very well: players, coaches and doctors. “For the moment, I’m enjoying it and I hope I have enough confidence to speak, be myself and enjoy myself,” he told Marca.

Griezmann scored 21 goals in 48 games in all competitions last season, as Atlético de Madrid finished second in LaLiga.
