Two Undergraduates In Police Net For Alleged Robbery

The Abia State Police Command has arrested two alleged university students from the Abia State University, Uturu, for alleged possession of firearms, ammunition and theft.

The state police commissioner, Mr. Jan Okon, who confirmed his arrest, said the suspects were arrested for an attempt to steal a 200-degree nursing student from the same university at their shelter at Miracle’s Lodge in Uturu.

The CP added that the suspects were arrested by the surveillance team of the Uturu Police Division.

The suspects were identified as “Emmanuel Obinna, 24, a student of Geography level 400 and Ngemena Chibuike, a student of Linguistics level 200”.

It was concluded that a locally manufactured gun and an active cartridge were recovered from the suspects.

Okon had warned the students to give up any form of crime that could endanger their future. However, he asked how young people with bad characters could become good leaders in the future.
