Former Kaduna central senator and human rights activist Shehu Sani has urged the federal government to hold Kyrgyzstan accountable for the killing of Aliyu Tijjani Abubakar.
The former legislator, while reacting to the murder through his verified Twitter account, wrote on Saturday: “Our jaws are bleeding and we are turning the other cheek.
“The increase in the murders of Nigerians abroad is becoming alarming. “The FG must hold the Kyrgyz government accountable for the brutal killing of Aliyu Tijjani Abubakar.”

The former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, described the murder of the daughter of the Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, deceased Mrs. Funke Olakunri, for alleged shepherds as a disturbing event for Nigeria.
On Saturday, Obasanjo said that Nigeria has been diminished by the assassination that occurred at a time when all well-meaning Nigerians preached tolerance and political adaptation in national politics.

“I must say that Nigeria, in general, is diminished by the way Funke died. We deplore this cowardly act and we take this opportunity to ask governments at all levels to leave no stone unturned to ensure that our security agents persecute and find energetically the perpetrators of such a heinous crime and make them face the full weight of the law.
The driver and domestic help of Mrs. Olufunke Olakunrin, daughter of leader Afenifere, Reuben Fasoranti, has told how she was murdered.
Funke was killed by armed men along the Ore highway on Friday. TVC News reports that the driver, Tayo Ogundare, recalled that some masked men left the forest to attack their vehicle.
He added that they fired at the vehicle just after the Ore toll gate. Tayo confirmed that his boss died in the hospital due to gunshot wounds. “We had a stop to buy refreshments in Ore. We were attacked by masked men who emerged from the jungle.

A Southwestern group, the Yoruba Youth Socio-Cultural Association (YYSA) expressed its shock at the murder of Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, daughter of the President of Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, for people suspected of being shepherds in the state of Ondo.
In a statement signed by its national president, Olalekan Hammed, the group gave the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) a three-day ultimatum to remove the perpetrators from the evil act.
