Political activist and former deputy secretary of national publicity for the Congress of All Progressives (APC), Comrade Timi Frank has said that the corrupt pedigree of some personalities who now populate the new cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari shows that governance in the country has been officially and effectively delivered to looters and manifestly corrupt people.

Latest Nigeria News Report that He called on Nigerians to reduce their expectations of actual dividends of democracy but should expect an astronomical and unprecedented increase in the level of corruption in the country during the period when the current administration will remain in office.

In response to the inauguration of new ministers and the allocation of portfolios published on Wednesday, Frank, in a statement he signed and made available to journalists in Abuja on Thursday, said that nothing positive can come from the new ministers because “70 an 80 percent of them at one time or another have been invited from anti-corruption agencies and most of them are still fighting corruption charges in court. ”

According to Frank, “there will be more corruption in this cabinet than in any other administration in the history of Nigeria, as some of the ministers bought their slot machines and would like to recover their investments to the detriment of Nigeria and the Nigerians.

“Therefore, I urge Nigerians to prepare for more difficulties, since corruption and incompetence have been exalted with corruption masters turned into ministers to lead the affairs of the government in Nigeria.

“Buhari told Nigerians in 2015 that he will reduce his salary by 50 percent, reduce the plane in the presidential fleet before becoming President. He also said he would reduce cars in the presidential convoy.

“But Nigerians can testify that this was never done. He did not reduce his salary, airplanes in the presidential fleet of cars in his convoy.

“With this, therefore, it is clear to Nigerians that General Buhari is a product of lies that he has continued to live and govern with falsehood. Nigeria cannot move forward in these circumstances because darkness and light have nothing in common. ”

In reaction to Buhari’s directive that ministers who want to see him must go through his Chief of Staff or the Secretary of the Government of the Federation (SGF), Frank asked: “What is the President doing in office? With this action, He has wholly abdicated his responsibilities and declared himself unavailable and unable to hold the position of President.

“The subordination of the ministers to the whims and whims of their assistants represents a severe abuse of the office and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“This is impunity of the highest order and a criminal alienation of the states of the federation that these ministers represent. Indeed, General Buhari’s wrong order means that the CoS and the SGF are the de facto presidents. ”

He said that another reason why Nigerians should not take Buhari and his cabinet seriously is that he is not a man of integrity.

“In 2015, while campaigning, General Buhari promised to reduce the cost of governance if elected. After his election, he appointed 36 ministers in apparent fulfillment of the promise. Why did you appoint 43 ministers in 2019?

“We don’t need seers to know that the expansion of the cabinet would greatly increase the administrative cost of the government and negatively affect its ability to comply with infrastructure development in the face of declining national revenues.”

“Never in the history of Nigeria has any president appointed 43 ministers. What has changed between 2015 and 2019 that led to this appalling cabinet expansion?” Asked Frank.
