A lady has been captured for acting like a staff of the Lagos State Governor’s Office at the Italian Embassy in an offer to verify visas for certain people.

She was captured at the end of the week following knowledge on the use of the Governor’s Office for an unapproved reason. An announcement Monday night by Gboyega Akosile, Deputy Chief Press Secretary to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, informed individuals concerning the open not to manage anyone on consular issues.

It read: “The suspect (name retained), using an email sent to the Embassy of Italy in Lagos supposedly acted like an authority of Lagos State government and looked for the nation’s visas for some clueless Nigerians.

“The international haven anyway kept in touch with the Governor’s office to verify the cases, which were later observed to be false.

“The letter from the Italian government office prompted further examination and her ensuing capture and cross-examination.

“Even though she denied the charge asserting that her email was hacked, the Lagos State Governor’s office has sent the issue to the appropriate security offices for proper activity.

“Meanwhile, the workplace has cautioned individuals from the open not to manage any people who march themselves as government delegates in consular issues.”
